Helpline number for Chandigarh residents trapped in Ukraine: Administration said – give complete information about such people, will send it to the concerned authority

After Russia’s attack on Ukraine, there has been a crisis on the life and safety of the Indians trapped here. Many of these students are also from Chandigarh. For their safety, the Chandigarh Administration has issued emergency number 112. The administration has said that the people of Chandigarh whose children and relatives are trapped in Ukraine, give their information on 112.

The administration says that they will forward this information to the concerned authority. Chandigarh Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh has made this appeal to the residents of the city. In this, the name of the people trapped, father’s name, passport number, name of the college/university of Ukraine etc. have been asked to be provided. This will help the Indians trapped in Ukraine. This helpline service will continue for 24 hours.

About 20 thousand Indians are trapped there during the war between Russia and Ukraine. The Indian government is trying to get those Indians out of the war-zone. Many such videos are coming on the internet in which Indian students trapped in Ukraine are pleading for help from the Government of India.

Many of them are also from Haryana and Punjab. At the same time, this step has been taken by the administration to help such students of Chandigarh. According to the Haryana government, about 2,000 people of the state are trapped in Ukraine. Haryana government has also set up this control room for the safe return of these people.
