“Virat Kohli had to come back in form so it is nothing new to me. There was pressure of captaincy on him, after all he is mentally free now. Now he will play with the same focus. I have full faith in him that he will score 110 hundreds and break Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international centuries. Now he doesn’t have the weight of captaincy and will score runs like a beast,” Akhtar was quoted as saying by ANI while appreciating Kohli.

Shoaib, who is popularly known as ‘Rawalpindi Express’, further added that Sachin was his favorite batsman during his playing days. He recalled an old incident from a game played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

“I remember once I told my teammate that I will take Sachin’s wicket. At that time we were playing in Kolkata. I got the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar on the very first ball in front of 100,000 spectators. I still remember half the field was empty after Sachin returned.
