Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rain predicted in many parts of Kerala on Sunday morning weather department.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rains in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
A yellow alert was issued for all these districts on Sunday.

The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds over the Gulf of Mannar region, Bay of Bengal, South Andaman Sea and parts of Arabian Sea on different days from Sunday to July 29.
in between, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (INCOIS) has issued a high wave alert for coastal areas from Vizhinjam to Kasaragod till Monday night.
INCOIS said in a release that fishermen and residents of the coast have been asked to remain alert and avoid traveling to the beach.
