In Mandya, the district administration has announced a holiday for classes up to X, including Anganavadis. The neighboring Chamarajanagar district administration announced a holiday for college students till degree classes.

According to KSRTC officials from Mandya, the vehicles were diverted in many places in Ramanagar district.
In Mysuru, the flower and fruit sellers, who were expecting a good business ahead of Gauri festival, were disappointed as many roads in the city were waterlogged.
