Heavy on ‘Don’ even before Aryan: Wankhede has stopped Shahrukh 10 years ago, left only after collecting fine

Sameer Wankhede, who showed Aryan Khan the way to jail in Mumbai cruise drugs case, has once taught his father Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan as well. A decade ago, during the meeting of the two, “Don” Shah Rukh had to face questions from Wankhede for hours. After several hours of interrogation, Shahrukh got a chance to get free from the legal clutches of Wankhede only after paying the fine.

Shahrukh was stopped at the airport with family
According to media reports, Shahrukh Khan went to London and Holland with his family about 10 years ago. After this tour in July 2011, when Shahrukh and his family returned to Mumbai, they faced Sameer Wankhede’s team at the airport.

Sameer Wankhede present at the airport had then found Shahrukh guilty of tax evasion.

Wankhede was the assistant commissioner then
At that time, Wankhede was present at the Mumbai airport as an assistant commissioner of the customs department and it had been only two years since he started the job. According to reports, Shahrukh Khan and his family had not given information about some goods purchased in shopping from abroad in the tax details. Due to this, his luggage was confiscated by Wankhede and he was stopped for question-and-answer in the airport lounge itself.

Shahrukh was interrogated for several hours
Shahrukh Khan and his family had stuff stuffed in 20 bags in this tour. Wankhede and his team were asking Shahrukh for customs information on some of these items, but he was unable to answer. During this, the team questioned Shahrukh for several hours and sought answers to many questions regarding tax evasion.

Shahrukh was able to get relief only after paying a fine of Rs 1.5 lakh
After several hours of interrogation, Shahrukh Khan was able to come out of the Mumbai airport with his family only when he deposited Rs 1.5 lakh in the customs department as a fine in exchange for the undeclared baggage in his possession.

Now Shahrukh’s son Aryan is in custody for 25 days
Sameer Wankhede is now the Zonal Director of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). His team raided the cruise on October 2 and caught the drugs. In this case, many including Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan were detained. Shahrukh Khan has engaged the top lawyers of the country on behalf of his son in this matter. But even after 25 days, Aryan’s bail could not be done.

Apart from Aryan Khan and Shahrukh Khan, Sameer has also questioned Anushka Shetty for 11 hours. The actress had many precious jewellery, due to which she was stopped at the airport. Earlier, Sameer, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Minissha Lamba, Ranbir Kapoor, Mika Singh, Bipasha Basu, Vivek Oberoi, Anurag Kashyap, Rhea Chakraborty have also been questioned.
