The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (Amendment) Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Home Minister Amit Shah introduced a bill for integration of Delhi MCD in Rajya Sabha. During the debate in the Rajya Sabha, the members of the opposition created a ruckus about this bill. Opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha said the bill amalgamating the three municipal corporations in Delhi is against constitutional morality and should either be repealed or sent to a committee of Parliament for review.
