Last Saturday, the fishermen had gone to the Haldibari forest to catch crabs. At that time, Gaurhari had gone to the forest. However, the tiger, who was expecting prey, did not come to his notice. Then taking the opportunity, the tiger jumped on Gaurhari. Hearing his cries, other fishermen ran. They attack tigers with sticks, bamboo etc. After some time, the tiger ran away leaving Gaurhari. Later the fishermen admitted Gaudahari to the Gosaba Block Rural Hospital in a critical condition.

It is noteworthy that on November 19, a fisherman named Hazari Mandal was killed in a tiger attack in Chilmari canal area. Four days ago, a fisherman named Ashish Hazra was seriously injured in a tiger attack in Peerkhali forest area. A few days before that a fisherman named Salim Mulla had died at the hands of a tiger.
