Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday alleged that the Delhi government has not received any letter from the Centre, asking whether any deaths occurred due to lack of oxygen during the second Covid wave in the national capital. However, the minister said that he has decided to share all the details with the central government.
“You can put that answer before the Supreme Court and the public,” he said at an online briefing. Sisodia accused the Center of not showing seriousness to the oxygen crisis that took place during the second wave.
“I read in newspapers that the Center is saying that it has asked state governments to share the number of oxygen-related deaths,” he said. However, Sisodia said that he has not received any information on the matter till date.
“Delhi government has not received any letter on oxygen related deaths. When you (Centre) have not written any letter, how can you say that the states are not informing you. We had formed an inquiry committee but you did not allow it (probe) through Delhi LG.
