Haryana: Four held with 1kg heroin worth Rs 5 crore | Gurgaon News – Times of India

AMBALA: The Ambala police arrested four people, including two women, after recovering 1kg heroin worth Rs 5 crore from their possession on the National Highway (NH) 44 in the district.
Superintendent of police Jashandeep Singh Randhawan said the accused Rajbir alias Raju of Patiala, Anwar alias Abhi, Rekha and Anjali, all three from Ambala City, were arrested on Thursday.
The police recovered 400g heroin from Anwar, and 300g each from Rekha and Anjali, while Rajbir was involved as a driver of their car, said SP Ambala.
“The CIA-II of Ambala police had received the information that accused people smuggle contraband and they would be entering Ambala from the Delhi side via NH-44. Acting accordingly, a checking post was laid in the Parao area and suspect vehicles were checked. A suspect car was stopped and 1 kg of heroin was recovered from possession of three accused Anwar, Rekha and Anjali and Rajbir was the driver”, the SP said.
