Haryana: Farmers protest at Hisar toll plaza, demand for free travel Gurgaon News – Times of India

Hisar: A group of farmers began a sit-in at the Ramayana toll plaza in Hisar on Wednesday, demanding free travel for them and vehicles from neighboring villages. The farmers have declared that “they will no longer tolerate the hooliganism of toll workers.”
Addressing the villagers, Dr. Aam Aadmi Party Spokesman Manoj Rathi Said that the toll officers should look into the demand of the villagers. “The villagers do not like to leave their work, but they have been sitting on dharna for two days against the injustice. The administration should also look into this demand immediately and give instructions to the officials concerned. He said that if the surrounding villages are not made toll free, then they will have to pay toll even on moving from one village to another, which is injustice to them.
He claimed that while being an INLD MP, Dushyant Chautala Used to call this toll completely wrong and said that it will be removed soon. Not only this, he used to say that if he got power, he would break the first pillar of this toll with his own hands.
He said, now he should come to this toll and take the initiative to uproot its pillar, so that the villagers can do the rest.
Social Worker Mukesh Gurjar Also said on this occasion, and said that the villagers are fighting for their basic rights. The villagers of this area are becoming victims of exploitation in the name of toll, due to which they have started agitation in a peaceful manner. Gurjar said
