Harshvardhan Kapoor hits back at trolls, later deletes his ‘cracker’ tweets

Bollywood The actors extended Diwali wishes to their fans and followers on the social media platform. However, Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor tweeted about bursting of crackers. In the now-deleted tweets, the actor mentioned how the activity goes against common sense. Harsh wrote how people are still bursting crackers everywhere and how their pets are scared. He said that this is not only inconvenient for everyone in the house, but also really bad for the environment in more ways than one. “I have never been a prisoner of cultural presets for these reasons. Common sense sometimes has to prevail,” he said.

Soon after he tweeted, netizens were seen sharing a picture of his father bursting firecrackers while Sonam Kapoor and he stood next to him. Unlike other celebrities, Harsh was quick to give it back. He acknowledged the pictures and wrote that the picture was taken years ago but as they move on, they try to get better.

Another Twitter user posted the same picture and asked why he didn’t stop his father from bursting crackers. To this Harsh replied, ‘Recently brother, are you ready to change? Yes, I didn’t think so.” Replying to a Twitter user, Harsh clarified that his post about firecrackers was not political. The actor further added how he can’t share his opinion without disturbing the netizens.

One of the users on the microblogging site asked Harsh whether the crackers at his sister’s wedding were eco-friendly? And AirPods were supplied to all the birds and dogs in his home and neighborhood before the incident.
