New Delhi: HBO Max has released the much-anticipated preview of “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” the upcoming special that will reunite the actors and filmmakers from the eight-film series, which will stream Jan.
The only person missing from the reunion will be JK Rowling, the author of the books on which the movies were based. Rowling was criticized for her comments about the trans community after she retweeted an op-ed article on “menstruating people” a year ago.
The multi-millionaire author now claims to be a victim of ‘cancellation culture’ and calls himself TERF or “Trans Exclusive Radical Feminist”.
As Variety reports, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”, which debuted in the film branch of the Wizarding World, was released in November 2001 and will mark the 20th anniversary of the special franchise.
‘Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts’, which will reunite actors Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, was taped at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.
It will feature film stars including Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis and Ivana Lynch, among others. Filmmakers David Heyman, Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell and David Yates will also appear.
The trailer shows the cast reminiscing about the movies as well as the festivities in the Great Hall, according to Variety.

“It’s like no time has passed and a lot of time has passed,” Watson says in the trailer. Radcliffe says that what frightened him was that “it was the implication that the most meaningful things in our lives were done”, and that seeing everyone “happy”, he realizes that “although It was not so”.
