Harrowing! 12-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted By 11 Men; Investigation Underway

Bolivian prosecutors have launched an investigation into the alleged gang rape of a 12-year-old girl by 11 men. As of now, three suspects have been apprehended, while a manhunt is underway for the remaining eight.

The disturbing incident unfolded during a cultural event attended by the girl and her family. The men reportedly intercepted her, provided her with alcohol, and then sexually assaulted her at a remote location. This horrifying attack took place in the early hours of a Monday in Oruro, a city situated halfway between the capital, La Paz, and Sucre. Oruro is located at a high altitude of around 12,000 feet (3,700 meters) above sea level and ranks as Bolivia’s fifth-largest city in terms of population.

The Bolivian state prosecution service announced that they are actively investigating this case of aggravated rape. They have arrested three individuals – Víctor Q. R., Víctor H.CH, and Adolfo C.C – who will face charges in the coming hours. The prosecution intends to request the preventive detention of these suspects while the hunt continues for the remaining individuals involved.

Aldo Morales Alconini, the Departmental Prosecutor of Oruro, emphasized their commitment to seeking justice for the victim. The forensic examination has revealed evident signs of bodily violence and abrasions, supporting the identification of the initial suspects. The prosecution is determined to ensure that those responsible face a 30-year prison sentence.

The circumstances surrounding how the girl was separated from her family and where precisely the alleged gang rape occurred remain unclear. This distressing incident highlights the urgent need for justice and protection of vulnerable individuals, particularly minors, in Bolivia.
