Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat has again created a stir in the politics of the state. Harish Rawat said that the doors of Congress are open for Captain Amarinder Singh. He is likely to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Till now Rawat was adopting an attacking stand on Amarinder. The Congress was critical of the Captain after Amarinder met Home Minister Amit Shah. He had announced to leave the Congress only after this meeting.

At the same time, Rawat called the dispute between Navjot Sidhu and CM Charanjit Channi a conspiracy of former Congressmen. Rawat said that some people are deliberately propagating such things.

Rawat again said, did not insult Amarinder

Harish Rawat responded to Captain Amarinder Singh’s allegation of humiliation. Rawat said the Congress did not insult Amarinder. It was an attempt to find a solution to the discord that arose in Punjab with his consent. But this could not happen. When most of the MLAs turned against Amarinder, we had to call a legislature party meeting. Instead of coming to him, the captain resigned.

Situation now normal in Punjab Congress

Rawat said that the situation in Punjab has become normal after Charanjit Channi was made the Chief Minister. There is no power struggle anywhere. A few days ago, CM Channi and Navjot Sidhu had gathered on March 1. Rawat said that some people are deliberately creating distance between the CM and Sidhu. These include some opposition as well as former Congressmen.

Reality: Sidhu angry with CM Channi, did not even withdraw his resignation

Contrary to Rawat’s claim, the reality is that Navjot Sidhu’s displeasure with CM Channi continues. He has resigned in protest against the appointment of DGP and Advocate General. Which has not been taken back yet. After this, a controversial video of Sidhu on the delay in the march of Punjab Congress has also surfaced. In which the desperation of becoming the CM of Punjab is visible within him. Sidhu did not even attend the wedding ceremony of CM Channi’s son.

Captain’s camp’s answer, Amarinder had the right to meet the legislature party

Rawat has also been replied by the Captain’s camp that Amarinder Singh was the leader of the legislature party. He had the right to call this meeting instead of the Congress high command. Despite this, MLAs were called to Delhi twice. For the third time a meeting was called in Chandigarh without consulting him. This is being described as an insult to Amarinder Singh. Rawat has said earlier that Amarinder was made the party head of the organization thrice and CM twice. So it’s not an insult.
