In reply, India won the match by five wickets with the help of Yusuf’s scintillating century. He played an unbeaten 123 in 96 balls with the help of seven fours and seven sixes. He also took three wickets in the said match.

105 runs in 70 balls vs South Africa 2011 in Centurion

Yusuf’s most notable performance in ODIs came in 2011 against South Africa at Centurion, albeit due to a loss. Chasing 268 for victory in a rain-change match, India were 60 for five in 12 overs when Yusuf went to bat at number seven. He scored 105 runs in 70 balls in the match and single-handedly guided. India fell just 33 runs from the target to 234. Yusuf’s innings hit eight fours and eight sixes.

22* (10) and 2/23 vs Sri Lanka 2010 in Colombo

One of Yusuf’s most complete performances in T20Is came against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2010. Chasing 172 for a win, India were trailing at 110/6 when Yusuf went to bat at number 8. He scored an unbeaten 22 off just 10 runs at an impressive strike rate of 220 as India beat Sri Lanka by three wickets. His brother Irfan Pathan also supported him from the other end. Yusuf also took two wickets for 23 runs and was adjudged man of the match for his performance.

37* runs 24 balls vs Zimbabwe Harare 2010. In

Yusuf scored an unbeaten 37 off 24 balls in Harare in 2010 as India beat Zimbabwe by six wickets. He played his innings with the help of two fours and three sixes. He also bowled two overs in the match and conceded just 10 runs.
