Riteish Deshmukh made his directorial debut with the film that starred him along with Genelia D’Souza and Jiya Shankar. It is a remake of Majili, a 2019 Telugu language love drama. It went on to become the highest-grossing Marathi film of 2022. They also won the Outstanding Achievement in Regional Cinema title at IIFA Awards 2023.
Mister Mummy
Shaad Ali directed Mister Mummy, a comedic drama film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza. The plot revolves around a man who falls pregnant. The film also starred Mahesh Manjrekar as a supporting character.

The plot is based on the true life of Gauri Gadgil, a special needs individual who also plays herself in the film. Riteish Deshmukh won the special jury accolade at the National Film Awards 2014.
Ek Villain
Riteish Deshmukh starred as the antagonist in the film alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor. He won several awards for this role, including the Best Performance in a Negative Role at the Star Guild Award and the Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the IIFA Awards.
