Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 71st birthday and also sent him a bouquet of 71 red roses.
The beautiful diplomatic gift of 71 roses sent by the Bangladeshi PM had a message in Hindi that translated: “Congratulations and best wishes on your birthday Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The relations between India and Bangladesh are historical in nature, so the figure of 71 holds a special significance. It was only in 1971, with much help from India, that Bangladesh was able to get independence from Pakistan.
