As they race to make their dreams come true, they realize their love for each other and promise to meet again. The film won several awards and accolades, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in 1998.

This Telugu remake of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar helped Pawan establish himself as a power-packed artiste in the industry. He portrays the character of Subrahmanyam, who eventually wins a boxing match. The film has been further remade in different languages like Bengali, Tamil and Kannada.

The film, directed by Puri Jagannath, broke many stereotypes in Telugu cinema. In this film, Pawan, who plays Titanic, falls in love with two different characters – Saryu and Vanela, played by Ameesha Patel and Renu Desai. The film was remade in Hindi as Short: The Challenge.

In this film, Pawan was seen as Sidhu, a Kolkata-born man who falls in love with Madhumati, played by Bhumika Chawla. Even though the story was similar to that of a mainstream romantic film, Pawan stood out because of his acting.

After Kushi, Pawan faced several setbacks at the box-office, but when he did Jalsa, he proved himself again with acting, attitude and witty one-liners. This action-comedy released in 2008 and is believed to have changed the course of Pawan’s career.

In this film, Pawan played the role of Gautam Nanda, a wealthy man determined to reunite his grandfather with his daughter. Even though the film faced a series of misfortunes for being leaked online before the theatrical release, it went on to become a huge blockbuster. It was considered as the biggest entertainer of Telugu cinema until the release of Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015.
The 49-year-old actor was last seen in Vakeel Saab, the Telugu remake of Bollywood film Pink, which released in 2021.
