Music lovers may be divided when it comes to their favorite male artist – some for Mohammed Rafi, some for Kishore Kumar, while others choose KJ Yesudas – but the majority of them choose Lata as the female voice. Ae Dil-e-Nadan – Razia Sultan

Chingari Koi Bhadke and Kuch To Log Kahenge were two of Kishore Kumar’s best songs in RD Burman’s memorable score for Shakti Samanta, and this song by Lata doesn’t fail to survive.

The biggest achievement of the film was the chart-topping song “Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna”.
Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jana- Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jaenge
Amidst all the commotion surrounding the following happy ending, there is one song that has pretty much established Shah Rukh and Kajol’s on-screen connection. ‘Tujhe Dekha Toh Yeh Jaana’ sung by Latha and Kumar Sanu became an overnight sensation and represented love as well as reinventing itself as a ‘love anthem’ for over a decade.
Humko Humi Se Chura Lo- Mohobbatein
This star-studded musical love drama took the youth by storm, becoming a cult favorite. Being musical, the song “Humko Humse Chura Lo” proved to be the biggest achievement of the film, which further strengthened the versatility of Lata Mangeshkar.
Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon- Album
It was not a noisy song, but a touching song written by Pradeep about the sacrifices of soldiers. On Republic Day, 1963 at the National Stadium in New Delhi, President S. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s performance made the crowd cry.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum- Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum
The soundtrack, especially the title track sung by Nightingale, makes Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham more engaging than the drama-filled plot. This stone has the ability to melt even the most ardent hearts. It was one of his first hits, and it is still one of his best seven decades later. Lata, 20, showed how her voice can enchant the entire nation. In this mythological song, he displayed his classical abilities to perfection. Khemchand Prakash’s composition is exquisitely and wonderfully conceived.

Lag Ja Gale – Woh Kaun Thi
There can be no more famous Indian tune than this. Madan Mohan, the virtuoso who had a creeper, wrote the music for the 1964 film Woh Kaun Thi. It’s so cute you can’t stop listening to it. Many singers have tried covers of this classic, but none have succeeded in capturing the essence of the song like Lata.

Satyam Shivam Sundaram
The song was chosen by the ambitious and young Lata to woo the audience. When people attempt a song that is undoubtedly difficult to submit, they receive praise—and some of them become infamous immediately.

Laxmikant Pyarelal’s excellent work for a film Raag Darbari in Canada is reported to have been influenced by Lata’s voice. Director Raj Kapoor reportedly wanted him to play the role, which was later made famous by Zeenat Aman.
