MumbaiVeteran playback singer Asha Bhosle, who enthralled millions of fans with her voice, turned a year older on Wednesday (September 8). The ‘Queen of Music’ has managed to carve a niche for itself in the music industry. Known for her versatility, the 88-year-old has sung some of the most popular songs in Hindi cinema.
On the occasion of her birthday, Shraddha Kapoor shared an adorable family picture to wish her ‘Asha Aai’. The ‘Baaghi 3’ actress posted a picture in which Asha and others can be seen smiling as they pose for the camera. Shakti Kapoor, Padmini Kolhapure, Siddhant Kapoor and other family members are seen in the picture.

Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar shared a picture with her younger sister Asha on her official Instagram handle. He wrote a heartfelt post for the birthday girl and prayed for her well being.

The Government of India honored Asha Bhosle with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. Singing Queen is the recipe for many Filmfare and National Film Awards.
