Hansika Motwani’s mother Mona Motwani demanded Rs 5 lakh per minute from Sohail Kathuria’s family for arriving late at the wedding ceremony.
Hansika Motwani tied the knot with her boyfriend Sohail Kathuria in December 2022. Their dreamy wedding took place at the Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan, which was attended by their close friends and family. In the latest episode of Hansika’s web series ‘Love Shaadi Drama’, the actress’s mother Mona Motwani was seen demanding Rs 5 lakh from the groom’s family for coming late to the function.
While the wedding rituals went off without a hitch, Hansika’s mother was upset with Sohail’s family. She was seen complaining about him.
“I have a humble request. Kathurias are people who come very late and Motwanis are very punctual. If you come late today, you will have to pay me Rs 5 lakh for every minute of delay. I request this because the inauspicious time is between 4:30 pm to 6 pm, so I request if you can come a little early,” said Mona.
Later, Hansika describes her feeling seeing Sohail waiting at the mandap. She said it was a surreal moment. “It hit me hard and I was like ‘I’m marrying the love of my life.’ It was the best feeling. Things are getting real. I am getting married I don’t know how to explain it. And it was something very different and I broke down,” she said.
Earlier, Hansika Motwani’s wedding documentary Love, Shaadi Aur Drama had revealed how the actress’ husband Sohail Kathuria surprised her by getting her name tattooed on her before their wedding day. The makers of the docu-series released the promo of the episode, revealing how Hansika reacted to her husband’s heart-warming gesture.
It can be seen in the video how Sohail is turned down by his tattoo artist saying that it is a ‘nonsense’ idea. However, Sohail surprised his ladylove with a gesture. Talking about it, Hansika says, “That boy had taken some money for me, yaar. I can’t take injections and he has got tattooed.” Seeing him in pain, she too gets emotional. Watch the promo here:
Earlier in an interview with India Today, the actress shared that it took her years to find love after her separation from Simbu. “It took me at least 7-8 years to say yes to someone. I believe in love. I am a romantic person but as a romantic person I am not very expressive. I believe in the institution of marriage and I believe in love. To be honest, I took my time and wanted to say yes to someone who is going to be mine forever. Sohail came along and made sure I believe in love even more. He made sure I fell head over heels for him and yes, God had his own way.
