Hansika Motwani Opens Up About Breakup With STR Simbu, Says ‘It Took Me at Least 7-8 Years…’

Hansika Motwani has been making headlines since her marriage with Sohail Khaturia, following the release of their documentary Love Shaadi Drama. It was Sohail’s second marriage and also a second chance at love for Hansika, who had previously dated Tamil actor STR Simbu. In a recent interview, she opened up about her past relationship and said that it took her years to find love after her separation from Simbu.

“It took me at least 7-8 years to say yes to someone. I believe in love. I am a romantic person but as a romantic person I am not very expressive. I believe in the institution of marriage and I believe in love. To be honest, I took my time and wanted to say yes to someone who is going to be mine forever. Sohail came along and made sure I believe in love even more. He made sure I fell head over heels for him and yes, God had his own way,” revealed the actress India Today.

The actress was also asked if she took any lessons from the previous relationship, to which she replied that it was a different relationship, which is over now.

Meanwhile, Hansika was criticized for allegedly breaking Sohail’s first marriage after the wedding. He was married to Hansika’s good friend Rinke. The actress also attended their wedding ceremony. Addressing the rumors in her documentary, she said, “Just because I knew the person at the time doesn’t mean it was my fault. I have nothing to do with it. Because I am a public figure, it was very easy for people to point fingers at me and make me a villain. It was the price I pay for being a celebrity.”

Sohail, who was also present at the episode, dismissed all the criticism as “baseless”. He said, ‘The news of my earlier marriage came to the fore and it came out in wrong light. It made it appear as if the breakup was because of Hansika, which is false and baseless.
