Hansal Mehta confirms death of actor Yusuf Hussain, writes heartfelt note for father-in-law

New Delhi: ‘Scam 1992’ director Hansal Mehta recently shared the news of veteran actor Yusuf Hussain’s death in his latest social media post. The filmmaker penned a long heartfelt note for the late actor and revealed that he has lost a father with the death of Yusuf Hussain.

Hansal Mehta shared a picture of Yusuf Hussain and wrote a note confirming his death. The director of ‘Shahid’ wrote, ‘I have completed 2 schedules of Shahid. And we got stuck. I was worried. A non-existent career as a filmmaker was almost completely over. He just came up to me and said I have a fixed deposit and it is of no use to me if you are so upset. He wrote a check. Shahid is done. He was Yusuf Hussain. Not my father-in-law but a father. That was life – if life itself were to take on a physical form. Today he is gone. To remind all the women in heaven that they are the ‘most beautiful girl in the world’ and all the men that they are the ‘beautiful young man’. And then ends with a ‘Love you love you love you’. Yusuf Saab I am indebted to this new life. I am truly an orphan today. Life will never be the same. I will miss you a lot. My Urdu will be broken. And yes – love you love you love you!”

On Hansal Mehta’s post, Vishal Bhardwaj, Prateek Gandhi, Manoj Bajpayee and other celebrities expressed their condolences to the late actor.

Hansal Mehta is married to Yusuf Hussain’s daughter Safina Hussain. Yusuf has acted in films like ‘Vivah’, ‘Dhoom 2’, ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and others.
