New Delhi: India’s talismanic batter Virat Kohli is well connected with his fans as he regularly interreact with them by posting gym, hairstyle and his travelling picture with his actress wife Anushka Sharma. Virat Kohli took on social media handle to share his new hairstyle before the start of continental tournament ‘Asia Cup,’ that slated to take place from August 30.

Virat Kohli’s last match

Virat has been away from the field since he last played against West Indies in One Day International (ODI) and Test series. India defeated the host in both of the series. Virat was rested for the T20I alongside India’s captain Rohit Sharma. Virat will now head toward Sri Lanka, where India will face Pakistan on September 2.

Virat Shares new look ahead of Asia Cup

Kohli took on his micro-blogging platform X (Twitter) handle and shared his new look just before the India’s squad for Asia Cup was unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Chief selectors Ajit Agarkar in presence of India’s skipper Rohit Sharma announced the 17-member ODI squad.

India’s squad for Asia Cup 

There were speculation about the selection of wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul and speedster Jasprit Bumrah, but all the air has been cleared as both of the made their comeback in the squad after recovering from the injury.

Indian middle over batter Shreyas Iyer, who injured himself during World Test Championship (WTC) final at the Oval also made his comeback. As Iyer returned to the team it is sight of relief for India cricket team, India was struggling to find the best match for the 4th position. Iyer can perfectly fill that gap.

Tilak Varma gets maiden call

Prasidh Krishna, who made comeback from the injury, currently added to the ongoing Ireland tour. Krishna also got the call for the Asia Cup. Another wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson will company the team as a travel reserved. Tilak Varma, who impressed the selectors with his Indian Premier League’s (IPL) and T20 performance also made the cut to the 17-member squad.
