In a tweet from the Twitter handle of jailed AAP No. 2, it was alleged that they (BJP) are sending those who opened schools in the country behind bars.

“Till date I had heard that when schools open in the country, jails are closed; But now these people have started sending only those who opened schools in the country to jail.

Significantly, in the alleged excise policy scam case, the senior AAP leader has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days till March 20.

BJP, AAP Spar Over Sisodia’s Safety In Jail

Meanwhile, a war of words has broken out between the BJP and the AAP over the security of Sisodia in Tihar Jail. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh and MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj had alleged that Sisodia’s life was in danger inside Tihar Jail.

AAP leaders alleged that Sisodia was being kept in the jail with other inmates and was denied a “Vipassana” cell. “Manish Sisodia was requested to be kept in the Vipassana cell of the jail and the same was approved by the court. Despite the court’s approval, Sisodia is kept with criminals in Jail No. 1. The Center must respond.” AAP MLA Bhardwaj alleged.

AAP’s allegation was categorically rejected by the Tihar Jail authorities, who said that the former deputy chief minister has been kept in a ward of Tihar’s Central Jail No. 1 which has minimum number of prisoners and no gangsters.

The jail administration also released a statement which said, “Manish Sisodia has been assigned a separate ward keeping in view his security. “There are at least inmates in the ward who are not gangsters and are on good behavior inside the prison.”

According to prison officials, a separate cell makes it possible for him to meditate or do other activities without interference. “As per jail rules, all arrangements have been made to ensure his safety. Any apprehension about his residence is baseless,” an official said.

Accusing the central government, AAP has questioned why Sisodia was not kept in the Vipassana cell despite the court’s order. “It is unfortunate that the Modi government is forcing the jail administration to disregard various orders and standard operating procedures of the jail. It is a well-known fact that jail no. 1 houses hardened criminals, well-known gangsters and repeat offenders. Are.”

“Why is the central government hell-bent on giving these dreaded criminals easy access to Manish ji? Why is the central government putting the life of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister at risk?” In a statement of yours it is said.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in the excise policy scam case. The court had allowed the senior AAP leader to take Bhagavad Gita, spectacles and medicines to the jail and directed the Tihar authorities to consider his request to allow him to do Vipassana meditation.
