NEW DELHI: Amid rising concerns about H3N2 Influenza infection in the country, health experts stress on a healthy lifestyle and precautionary measures to prevent the disease. Even though the cases of Kovid have reduced, but now a new virus H3N2 has started spreading. According to experts, there is nothing to panic about this virus, but there is a need to be careful so that infection can be avoided.

Speaking to ANI, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services, Lt Gen Daljit Singh said, “N3H2 Influenza is a respiratory virus that spreads just like the COVID virus. The precautions are also the same and should be practiced. There is no reason There is something to worry about but care should be taken.”

Speaking to ANI, Dr. Anupam Sibal, Senior Pediatrician, Apollo Hospital, Delhi said, “The virus keeps changing from time to time. The symptoms of influenza virus are appearing after the Covid pandemic. Although its symptoms are almost similar where There is cough, cold and fever. But it has been seen in this virus that these symptoms remain for a long time in patients due to which it is spreading rapidly.

Dr. Aditya Bhati, Neurologist, Apollo Hospitals emphasized on healthy lifestyle to boost the immune system. “The reason this type of virus has more effect on people’s mind is because people are under a lot of stress. We are always on the run. There is a lack of time management and healthy lifestyle. We are not able to do that.” This. There is no routine for eating and exercising. It affects both physically and mentally. It is very important to have a balance in everything for a healthy lifestyle so that we can be healthy both physically and mentally.”

He said that day-to-day stress affects people neurologically. When asked about the effect of the virus on the brain and nervous system, Dr. Bhati said that though the numbers are not high, cases of brain stroke have also been observed.

“Though this virus affects all the organs of a human being, but its effect has been seen more on the brain. In cases like brain stroke or brain haemorrhage, the virus has also been found in the brain. It can affect any part of the body. ” Due to this our nerves become thin and weak and then build up starts in the brain itself. Although their number is not high, cases of brain stroke have also been seen. Blood circulation is blocked because of the intoxication,” he said.

In such a situation, Dr. Sibal further said that it is necessary that during Kovid people are taking precautions like wearing masks and washing hands. He said that if symptoms like cough, cold or fever are seen in a person, then it is very important to avoid coming in contact with that person.

Dr. Sibal said that there is a need to take special care of children. “Parents should take care that if they are sending children to school or to play outside, they ensure that the child does not have cough and cold. If a child has symptoms like fever and cough, He shouldn’t come in contact with her.” Take special care of cleanliness with other children. Because with cleanliness and good eating habits, you can stay away from this type of virus. Children should wear masks in schools.

H3N2 has been the dominant subtype followed by H1N1. Both these subtypes are of Influenza ‘A’ type. However, the Union Health Ministry on Friday said cases arising from seasonal influenza, including H3N2, have claimed one death each in Haryana and Karnataka since late March.
