A commission was constituted on the orders of the court to survey the Gyanvapi campus. On the last day of the survey i.e. on May 16, the Hindu side had claimed to be a Shivling regarding the concrete structure of the stone in the Vazukhana of the Gyanvapi Masjid. Based on the request of the Hindu side, the court ordered the sealing of the vazukhana. The Muslim side says that there is no Shivling in the Vazukhana, but an old fountain.
