Haryana’s farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chadhuni is again coming to Punjab after the United Kisan Front’s strike in Karnal ended. This time a big rally has been kept at Anaj Mandi of Amarkot in Tarn Taran. This rally, being held under Mazdoor Kisan Ekta, is on 16 September and many other leaders are specially arriving along with Chadhuni to address it. The rally is being held at a time when farmers of Punjab have refused to contest elections and are asking other parties not to hold their election meetings. Meanwhile, this rally of Chadhuni can again create a political ruckus.

There was pressure on the farmers’ organizations of Punjab to run ‘Mission Punjab’ on behalf of Chaduni. When the farmers of Punjab did not get along with the organizations, he is constantly active in Punjab and due to his agitation, political parties are questioning the United Kisan Morcha. Sharing the video on his social media account, Chaduni said that this rally will be very important for the struggle and farmers should reach in large numbers.

Chief Minister has appealed not to protest in Punjab
The Chief Minister of the state, Captain Amarinder Singh, during his visit to Hoshiarpur, had appealed to the farmers’ organizations not to fight in Punjab anymore. The agriculture laws have been implemented by the BJP central government and the Punjab government has been against it since the beginning. Punjab is suffering financial loss due to farmers’ protest. Now Gurnam Singh Chaduni is coming to rally here, so questions are bound to arise on this.

Cheema has also asked the question – will the farmers fight the elections?
Aam Aadmi Party leader of opposition Harpal Cheema has also questioned whether the farmers are going to contest in the Punjab Assembly elections. Because the kind of atmosphere that is being created, farmers leaders may also come in the fray. Farmer organizations should make their stand clear on this.

BJP has already taken an attacking stand
The Bharatiya Janata Party has already taken an aggressive stand on farmers holding rallies in this way and not allowing other parties to hold rallies. BJP leader Anil Sarin says that this is completely wrong. Farmer organizations are spoiling the election environment and may be preparing the ground for themselves. The way the political intervention of the farmers is big, it points towards this.
