RAJKOT: A 21- year old man was arrested for kidnapping two teenage boys of an educational institute from the Savarkundla government hospital and allegedly sodomizing one of them.
The duo was among a dozen boys who were brought to the hospital after they complained of cold and fever while staying at the boarding school of the institute. After their check-up was done, the two friends were waiting outside the hospital for others to finish at around 4:30pm on August 18.
In the meantime, a man. later identified as Sunny Chauhan, came on a bike, threatened the two boys and forcefully took them away.
KJ Chaudhary, deputy superintendent of police, Savarkundla, said, “Four other students saw them being kidnapped and started shouting for help. An ambulance driver also realized that the boys were abducted and he informed the trustee of the educational institute.” Cops also activated their sources and alerted other police stations about the kidnapping.
Based on specific information, police traced Chauhan and the two boys near Mukteshwar Mahadev on Mahuva Road and rescued the duo within around four hours of kidnapping.
“The boys were counselled at the police station and they gave a statement that they were threatened and forced to sit on the bike and taken to an isolated place. Chahuan forcefully had unnatural sex with one of the boys, who was sent for medical examination. It was clear that he had kidnapped the boys with the intention to sodomize them.” Chaudhary added.
