Sai Sudarshan was bought by Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2022 for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs.

Sai Sudarshan set the final of the Indian Premier League 2023 on fire with a scintillating knock of 96 against Chennai Super Kings. Sudarshan, who came in to bat at No.3, took the big stage in the first innings and smashed the CSK bowlers all around the park to take his team to 214/4 in 20 overs.

The 21-year-old played one of the finest innings in IPL finals history as he triggered at the right time and helped the Titans post the highest total in the summit clash in the tournament’s history.

The southpaw looked a bit disheveled at the start of the innings but soon settled down and cleaned up the CSK bowlers with his scintillating strokes at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Titans bought Sudarshan ahead of IPL 2022 for his base price of Rs 20 lakh, which looked like a steal after his impressive innings in the final on Monday at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Interestingly, Sudarshan earns more money from his Tamil Nadu Premier League contract than from IPL as he was bought by Lyca Kovai Kings for a record amount of ₹21.60 lakh in TNPL 2023 auction.

The former CSK and Tamil Nadu batsman put out a tweet about Sudarshan’s pricey stage in the IPL and said that his talent is priceless.

He tweeted, “Sai had a base price of just 20 lakhs when picked by GT, but his talent is priceless #CSKvGT #IPL2023Final.”

He changed gears at the right time and lit up the Narendra Modi Stadium in the final with 8 fours and 6 sixes during his brilliant innings. Apart from Sudarshan, Shubman Gill (39), Wriddhiman Saha (54) and Hardik Pandya (21 not out) made important contributions.
