Gujarat sees 20 COVID-19 cases; 15 students test positive at law varsity since Thursday

Gujarat recorded 20 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 12,23,982, while the death toll stood at 10,942, a health department official said on Friday. He said that 15 students of Gujarat National Law University in Gandhinagar tested positive in the last two days, of whom three were found with the infection on Thursday and 12 on Friday.

The official said that some samples are being sent for genome sequencing to identify the variants. So far 12,12,9563 people have been discharged after recovery, including seven in the last 24 hours, leaving the state with an active count of 86.
