These extra marks are for the mistakes given in the MCQ section of the question paper. When the board released the provisional answer key, many students challenged some questions

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Board Education (GBSHSE) will release the scorecard for class 12th science stream students. Students who appeared in the exam will be able to check their result on the official website gseb.org. The Class 12th board exams for the Gujarat Board were conducted from March 14 to March 31. On the other hand, the practical exams started from 20 February and concluded on 28 February.

to clear gujarat board class 12th examS, students must have secured at least 33 per cent or grade D in each subject. A1 grade is issued to those who score 91 or above, A2 grade to those who score 91 to 80, B1 to those who score 80 to 71 and B2 to those who score 70 to 61. In order to increase their marks, those who obtain E1 or E2 in a subject have to appear for a supplementary examination. Any score below this will result in a failing mark, and the student will have to take the exam again the following year.

But can you get an extra mark as a Gujarat Board student? If not then read further. Class 12th Gujarati medium Science stream students will get two extra marks in their Physics exam. Whereas students of 12th Science stream English and Hindi medium will get one extra mark in Physics exam. Candidates of all medium will get one mark extra in Chemistry. But why is the Gujarat Board giving extra marks to the students?

These extra marks are for the mistakes given in the MCQ section of the question paper. When the board released the provisional answer keys, many students challenged some questions through email till April 15. These students were asked to pay Rs 500 per question and if they are confirmed, the money will be returned to the student. Due to mistakes in the question paper, students will be given extra marks in their answer sheets.

During the Gujarat HSC 12th Board Exam this year, 1,07,663 students registered and out of them 1,06,347 appeared for the exam. The Gujarat Board has increased the total number of centers for Science stream and General stream specifically for class 12 board exams in 2023. Last year, 39 centers conducted the scientific stream exam. As a result of increase in registration the exam will be conducted at 45 centers this year.
