Gujarat ATS arrests activist Teesta Setalvad in connection with 2002 riots

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) team arrested activist Teesta Setalvad on Saturday. He is being taken to Ahmedabad. According to the FIR, activist Teesta and two former IPS officers have been booked for allegedly giving false information about the Gujarat riots.

Gujarat Police has registered a case against former IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt, former IPS officer RB Sreekumar and activist Teesta Setalvad in this case.

According to the FIR, Setalvad through Zakia Jafri made several petitions in the court and gave false information to the chief of Special Investigation Team (SIT) and other commissions.
