Gujarat: 5 arrested, juvenile arrested for ‘raping’ minor

Narmada district police on Thursday arrested five persons and arrested a juvenile in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a 16-year-old girl.

The FIR lodged at the concerned police station late on Wednesday said that the incident took place on the night of January 31 when one of the six accused allegedly misled the girl to take the girl to a deserted structure of the Public Works Department and accompanied her. raped.

“The accused then took her to another secluded place nearby, where two other accused were waiting. The three accused took turns raping her. After the departure of the two other accused, the first accused continued to keep the girl in his custody,” the FIR stated.

“He dragged her to a field, where three other accused arrived one after the other and raped her in turn. The accused threatened to kill her and hurled casteist abuses at the girl.

In this case the girl is the complainant. Police said one of the six accused is a 17-year-old juvenile, but investigating officers are preparing to prosecute the juvenile.

The accused were booked under the POCSO Act, 2012 as well as relevant sections of the IPC.
