Rajkot: Three persons have been arrested for killing a 19-year-old youth and dumping his body in an open sewer line near a river bank in Abdasa taluka of Kutch district. The deceased has been identified as Mitrajsinh Jadeja.handjob Residents of Khirsara village.
According to the Kothara police of Kutch, the father of the deceased, Hathisinh Jadeja, has registered a case of murder of his son against Digvijaysinh Jadeja (25) and his two farm laborers – Diwansinh Raosikh and Anil Rajput.
“On Saturday my son left the house saying that he was going to Digvijay Singh’s farm and did not return till late. We looked for him in the village, but could not find him. Digvijayasinh told us that Mitrasinh met him and left the farm soon after,” Hathisingh said in his police complaint.
Later Hathi Singh lodged a missing complaint at Kothara police station. Within a few hours, the police received information about the body being found in an open sewer line on the banks of the Nyara river near Kothara village. Police reached the spot along with Hathi Singh where the body was identified as that of Mitra Singh.
Later Hathi Singh filed a case against Digvijay Singh and two others for the murder of his son. The complainant told the police that the accused had threatened to kill her son if she did not stop talking to the woman. The police booked the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including murder, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence, and took all three into custody on Saturday night.
