Grenade ren found inside drain in South West Delhi
A sanitation worker got a grenade on Thursday when he was cleaning a drain under a walkway in southwest Delhi’s Sagarpur area, police said.
After getting the information, the police reached the spot and found an old rusty grenade with a pin. A senior police officer said that the district ballistic team kept it safely in an open space away from the congested area.
The area around the grenade was dotted with makeshift sand bags and police guards were deployed on the spot, the official said.
The official said the NSG has been requested to ascertain the make and model of the grenade.
