Greater Noida gives pre-2006 societies 2 years to get completion papers | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: The Greater Noida Authority has offered a two-year window to the pre-2006 cooperative housing societies and those meant for central government employees to obtain the completion certificate (CC) by paying a fee of 8% annually of the total cost of the plot.
This time extension was approved by the Greater Noida Board at its meeting in Lucknow on Friday, after it was informed that CCs could not be issued to some societies constructed in or before 2016 in Greater Noida due to lapse of time, officials said on Friday.
“These societies had been demanding extension of time from the Authority. In view of this, a proposal to allow time extension after taking a fee was approved by the board on Friday,” an official added.
Likewise, the Authority Board also offered another six months’ extension to builder projects to get the CC. “Some builder projects in Greater Noida have been delayed due to which late fees are being levied on those same. The builders are trying to get the CC so that the registry of flats can be done,” the official said.
Instructions were issued by the industrial development department in July 2022 to extend the time for six months. Consequently, the Greater Noida Authority’s Board decided to give a free time period of six months for obtaining the completion certificates for the societies.
Additional chief secretary and chairman of three Gautam Budh Nagar authorities, Arvind Kumar, presided over 127th Board meeting of the Greater Noida Authority. The CEO of the Greater Noida Authority, Surendra Singh, Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari and Yamuna Authority CEO Arun Vir Singh attended the meeting on Friday.
