Adele and Dwayne Johnson finally met each other during the opening ceremony of the 2023 Grammys.
The 65th Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. With a host of Hollywood celebrities as well as prominent musicians from around the world, this is definitely one of the biggest concert events ever. But this year’s award show has also become special for a special singer who has been longing to meet Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
It’s ‘Someone Like You’ singer Adele who’s always wanted to bump into the Fast & Furious star and thanks to the night’s host Trevor Noah, her dream has come true. During the opening ceremony of the Grammys 2023, Trevorrow made his way to Adele’s table and announced that although he doesn’t have anyone named ‘Dwayne Johnson’, he definitely has ‘The Rock’.
Next, Dwayne Johnson sneaked up behind Adele and gave her the surprise of his life as he walked over and greeted her with a sweet hug and an ear-to-ear smile. Noah can be heard saying in the background, “Adele meets The Rock, The Rock meets Adele!! OK, you two get to know each other, we gotta keep the show going!” The camera then pans over to Dwayne sitting next to the 15-time Grammy winner. A snippet of the sweet moment has already gone viral on Twitter. .
Responding to the same, one of the Twitter users wrote, “Oh my god, he is the sweetest kindest person you can meet and be like.” Another wrote, “Two good people meet live.” Someone else said, “I know she smells good.”
The acclaimed singer was nominated under seven different categories such as Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Record of the Year, Pop Vocal Album of the Year, Pop Solo Performance of the Year and Best Musical Film it was done.
