NEW DELHI: There is no dearth of COVID vaccines and the government is providing free supply of vaccines to states and union territories to vaccinate priority beneficiaries, Rajya Sabha was informed on Tuesday.
Also, there has been no delay in placing orders to domestic vaccine manufacturers, but advance orders for vaccines have been placed. Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech For the supply of Kovid-19 vaccines, Minister of State for Health Bharti Pravin Pawar Said in written reply.
In response to the question whether there are many states including the most affected Maharashtra Complaining about the shortage of vaccines during the last three months, he said, “There is no shortage of COVID-19 vaccines and the Government of India is providing free supply of vaccines to the States and UTs for administration to the priority beneficiaries.” As recommended negvac
Advance visibility of these allocations i.e. the total dose of vaccine that will be available to a State and Union Territory is provided to them 15 days in advance so that they can plan for expediting the vaccination coverage keeping in view the available vaccines . The minister said.
He also refuted the allegations of any delay in ordering the vaccines and said, “There is no delay in placing orders with domestic vaccine manufacturers, but Serum Institute of India and India for supply of COVID-19 vaccines.” Advance orders for vaccines have been placed with Biotech.”
