Gorakhpur will become a ‘special education zone’: Dharmendra Pradhan

Union Minister for Education, Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Dharmendra Pradhan has announced that soon Gorakhpur will be a ‘special’. Education Area’. Gorakhpur city, developed as a knowledge city through three functional and one under-construction university, will be made a ‘Special Education Zone’ on the lines of ‘Special Economic Zone’ as per the requirement of the new National Education Policy. The Union Education Minister while addressing the concluding program of the 89th Founder’s Week celebrations of Maharana Pratap Education Council as the chief guest on Friday.

The Union Minister said that the idea behind this special education sector is to prepare the students as global citizens and solve the problems of the world through academic activities. Pradhan said that the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad and its students would play an important role in achieving this.

He said that the new education policy has been designed in line with the strategic change in the global scenario and aims to India Children of India as the number one country in the world and a global citizen. Children of Gorakhpur will also join in becoming global citizens.
