Google Search is finally getting the dark theme on desktop, months after the announcement

Giants based in Mountain View, California Google Finally introducing a dark mode for search on the desktop. The change was seen till December 2020, but is now being rolled out to all users. Google is rolling out the update in a phased manner, and will reach all users “over the next few weeks.” Google made the announcement in a blog post. Users can get the new dark theme by going to Settings. A report by 9to5Google states that some users have noticed a sun icon that can be used to toggle it on or off without going to the settings page.

Google has said in its blog post that the search page includes the Google homepage, search results page and search settings etc. Wherever users are signed in with their Google Account on their desktop, a dark gray background will appear. Google has also acknowledged that there were user requests for the feature, and said that the Search dark theme will be fully available in the coming weeks. This feature is also being tested on mobile, but it is not being rolled out yet.
