Panaji: Senior Congress MLA and former Chief Minister Pratap Singh Narayan Rane Looks like he has made up his mind to contest on February 14 Election He said that he will stand on Congress ticket.

On Thursday, BJP chose his daughter-in-law Deviya as its candidate from Porim. BJP’s Goa in-charge Devendra Fadnavis said he had spoken to Rane to discuss the Porim constituency and the BJP candidate.
“If the party has declared my name as its candidate, then the question of me not contesting does not arise,” Rane said. The veteran MLA has often hinted at his retirement before every election. Congress’ senior election observer for Goa P Chidambaram had made it clear that the party has nominated Rane as its candidate, but the decision has been left to Rane.
