Shahbaz Sharif elected PM of Pakistan

Shahbaz Sharif, younger brother Nawaz Sharif has been elected as the new PM after former PM Imran Khan lost a no-confidence vote in Pakistan’s parliament on April 10 after nearly four years in office. Nawaz Sharif is the predecessor of Imran Khan. Shahbaz Sharif is from the main opposition party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. No prime minister in the history of Pakistan has ever been ousted through a no-confidence motion. Also, no one has completed a full five-year term in office.

Occasional acts of adultery by the wife do not deprive her of maintenance

The Delhi High Court has ruled that one or occasional acts of adultery committed in isolation by a wife does not amount to a stay in adultery. it Does not deprive them of maintenance after divorce. Strict provisions u/s 125(4) of CrPC will apply only in case of repeated adultery and cohabitation in adultery. The High Court held that cruelty and harassment are not grounds for non-payment of maintenance and observed that even in cases where divorce is granted on the ground of cruelty, courts have awarded maintenance to the wife.

Vanguard surpasses Elon Musk as Twitter’s largest shareholder

Teslo CEO Elon Musk, who was Twitter’s largest shareholder with 9.2 percent on April 4, has been fired by Vanguard Group. It has a 10.3 percent stake in Twitter. The company now holds 82.4 million shares of the social media platform. Musk, however, is Twitter’s largest individual shareholder, followed by platform co-founder Jack Dorsey.
