GITAM (Deemed to be University) has announced the launch of its annual pan-India pitch-fest, StartupIndia SmartIDathon 2023. Undergraduates, graduates and recent college graduates are all invited to participate in this event, where they can showcase and compete for their business ideas. For a total prize money of Rs 30 lakh. The last date for submission of applications is June 10 and participants can be individuals or teams with a maximum of two members.
Through social entrepreneurship, StartupIndia SmartIDathon seeks to encourage student innovation and the development of resilient, sustainable communities. During the event young entrepreneurs are encouraged to present their business concepts within the four themes of food and health, toys for STEM, sustainable fashion and frugal innovation. The final round of the competition will be held on August 24 and 25 at GITAM’s Hyderabad campus.
Organized by the Venture Development Center at GITAM in partnership with StartupIndia, the event will reward the winners with a variety of attractive prizes. A total of Rs 30 lakh will be given as prizes and cash to both the winners and the runners-up.

The most promising entrepreneurs will receive personalized coaching and boot camps from globally recognized enterprise trainers. In addition, they will get a chance to showcase their concepts at Boston Entrepreneurship Week in the United States.
