Officials in: Noida/Ghaziabad Ghaziabad And Gautam Buddha Nagar has banned all victory procession On or after the day of counting of votes for the assembly elections in UP. Counting of votes in Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar will be held at Govindpuram Grain Market Phul Mandirespectively, on Thursday.

Ghaziabad District Magistrate RK Singh said, “Counting of votes will begin at 8 am at Anaj Mandi centre. All victory processions have been banned in view of the pandemic and anyone violating the order will be punished and this includes candidates. We have made it very clear for all the candidates.”
“The counting of votes will take place in 192 rounds, which includes 40 rounds. Last year Seat, 41 for Muradnagar, 42 for Sahibabad, 39 for Ghaziabad and 30 for Modinagar. Each table will have an observer, a counting assistant and a micro observer.
The counting center will be restricted to the general public and no one will be allowed inside except polling personnel and some representatives of political parties. “Media personnel with valid passes will be allowed entry. Phones and laptops will not be allowed inside except MediaSingh said.
In Noida, District Magistrate Suhas LY held a meeting with officials and representatives of political parties on Tuesday and told them that all strong rooms would be opened at 7.30 am on March 10 while counting of votes would begin at 8 am.
“The agents of political parties will not be allowed to carry any digital device with them inside the counting venue,” the DM told them in the meeting.
However, party representatives requested the DM to allow the calculator, upon which he asked to submit a written application, which would be sent to the Election Commission. The party representatives were told that as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, the agents would be informed after each round of counting.
“No victory procession will be allowed,” he said, adding that adequate police force would be deployed at the counting site in the district.
