George Clooney wrote a letter to the press, asking not to publish pictures of his children

Hollywood star George Clooney has written an open letter to media organizations around the world asking them not to publish pictures of their children. As Deadline reports, Clooney, who has two children with wife Amal Clooney, decided to write the letter after a British tabloid published photos of actor Billie Lourd and their child.

“After seeing photos of Billie Lourd’s one-year-old baby in your publication, and the fact that you later took those photos down, we would request you to refrain from putting our baby’s faces in your publication.

The 60-year-old actor said, “I am a public figure and often accept intrusive pictures as a price for doing my job. Our kids have not made any such commitments.”

Clooney insisted that photos of his children on the Internet could put his life at risk because of his wife Amal’s job as a human rights lawyer. “The nature of my wife’s job is to confront and prosecute terrorist groups and we take as many precautions as we can to keep our family safe. We can’t protect our kids if a publication puts its face in their face.” puts face.

He said, “We have never sold pictures of our children, we are not on social media and never post pictures because doing so would put their lives in danger. Not crazy but real world issues, real world issues. With results,” he said.

The actor concluded by saying that he hopes the media’s “need to sell advertising” does not exceed the need to “prevent innocent children from being targeted”.

George Clooney is not the first Hollywood celebrity to have requested publishing houses not to publish pictures of their children.
