Hollywood actor Johnny Wactor died on Saturday in LA. He was shot dead in a theft incident.

Hollywood actor Johnny Wactor was shot dead on Saturday, May 25, in Los Angeles, several international reports reveal. The actor, best known for his role in General Hospital, was reportedly killed in an attempted theft. His mother, Scarlett told TMZ that Johnny was attacked and killed at 3 am PT on Saturday after thieves tried to steal the catalytic converter from his car. His mother claimed the actor did not attempt to fight the thieves but ‘the men shot him anyway before taking off.’

The actor was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No suspects have been arrested at the time of reporting. Johnny’s agent David Shaul confirmed the news of the actor’s death. Speaking with People Magazine, David remembered Johnny as a “spectacular human being.” He said, “Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him. Standing for hard work, tenacity and a never-give-up attitude. In the highs and lows of a challenging profession, he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be.”

“Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever,” he added.

Johnny was known for his role as Brando Corbin in General Hospital. Appearing in over 200 episodes, Johnny was seen playing the husband of drug addict Sasha Corbin in the series. His character was written off in 2022. After the news of his death made the headlines, his co-star Sofia Mattsson paid an emotional tribute to him. Taking to Instagram, she shared a few photos with him and confessed she was heartbroken with the turn of events.

“My heart is so utterly broken… Johnny was the absolute best. So genuine. So caring. Incredibly hard working and humble. With a huge heart that spread so much kindness and joy. He always made sure everyone around him felt seen, heard and loved. I admire the man he was so much and I’m a better person for having known him.

We shared so many special moments, both on and off screen, and I will forever cherish them deeply in my heart. You will be so incredibly missed Johnny… I’m sure you’re already busy taking care of everyone up there,” she wrote.

Besides General Hospital, Johnny was seen in series such as NCIS, The OA, Westworld, The Passenger, Station 19, Barbee Rehab, Siberia, Agent X, Vantastic, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Girl, Training Day, and Criminal Minds, to name a few. He began his acting career in 2007 with Army Wives.
