Gautam Gambhir hits back at critics who questioned his IPL commitment, tweets furious video

the former India Cricketer and LSG Mentor Gautam Gambhir has hit back at his critics, especially those who questioned his involvement in IPL 2022. 2011 World The Cup winner for India remains a common target for his political opponents, who, citing his media roles, alleged that the East Delhi MP is lax in serving his constituency.

Meanwhile, Gambhir hit back at his critics in a 53-second video, in which he can be seen asking the media to publish his version of the story. “Ho for the sake of it, arc it,” he can be heard saying.

“Why do I do commentary or work in IPL because I spend Rs 25 lakh every month to feed 5000 people. It is around Rs. 2.75 crores per annum. I have also spent Rs 25 lakh to build the library.
“I spend all this money from my pocket and not from MPLAD fund. MPLAD fund does not run my kitchen or any other work I do. There is not a single tree in my house from which I can pluck even money.

“Just because I work, I am able to feed those 5000 people or set up that library. I am not ashamed to say that I do commentary and work in IPL. All this is an end goal of what I do,” Gambhir can be heard saying in the video.

The 40-year-old is currently working as a mentor to Lucknow Supergiants, which finished fourth in the recently concluded IPL 2022. He also works as a commentator-cum-pundt for Star. Gambhir won the 2011 World Cup for India where he scored 97 in the big final against Sri Lanka. Then he contested the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on behalf of BJP and won from East Delhi Constituency. He played 58 Tests and 147 ODIs for India, scoring over 9,000 international runs.
