Ganesh Chaturthi: From Salman Khan to Shilpa Shetty, Bollywood stars who welcome Ganpati every year

Bollywood Every year the stars celebrate the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi with great zeal and enthusiasm. Every year, B-town celebrities host pujas and gatherings at their homes, and several prominent stars from the film and TV industry attend the ceremony.

One of the most famous Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations was organized by the Kapoors at the prestigious RK Studio, which they sold after a deadly fire broke out on the premises in 2019 following huge damage to the property. Randhir Kapoor had said that hosting Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at RK Studios was a tradition started by his actor father Raj Kapoor. Apart from RK Studios, many Bollywood celebrities welcome Ganpati with great fanfare every year during the 10-day festival, let’s have a look at some of them:

Salman Khan

Bollywood actors celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi every year at their residence Galaxy Apartments. His entire family has participated in the celebration. Many famous Bollywood celebrities also participate in this celebration. In 2019, Salman’s younger sister Arpita Khan Sharma shared pictures of eco-friendly Ganpati living in their house during the festival. This year, however, Salman will not be returning home for the Ganpati celebrations as the actor is shooting for Tiger 3 in Europe.

Shilpa Shetty

The actress is known to host some of the most rapturous Ganpati celebrations at her home. Though her husband Raj Kundra is in jail for her alleged involvement in an obscene material case and sister Shamita Shetty is inside the Bigg Boss OTT house, Shilpa brought the Ganpati idol home alone this year. The actress also taught son Viaan to follow tradition.

Sonu Sood

The actor, who emerged as a savior during the coronavirus pandemic, is known to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi every year. The actor welcomed the Ganesh idol at his home in Mumbai on Thursday. The actor said in an interview to ETimes that he has been bringing Ganpati home for 22 years.

Shah Rukh Khan

The actors welcome the idol of Ganpati to their Mannat home every year and celebrate the festival with their families. The actor actively participates in the traditions of the festival.

Ganesh Chaturthi starting from 10th September 2021 spreads the message of positivity, health and happiness to all. Also known as Vinayaka or Ganapati, Lord Ganesha is revered as the god of new beginnings and the remover of all obstacles. Here’s wishing you all a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!
