Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh trailer: Mahatma Gandhi survives assassination in this war of ideologies- Watch

Mumbai: After the much talked about teaser of ‘Gandhi Godse Ek Yuddh’, the makers released the trailer of the film on Wednesday. Sharing the trailer on Instagram, the filmmaker’s daughter Tanisha Santoshi wrote, “It’s not about Gandhi or Godse. 23.”

Set in post-independence India of 1947–48, it depicts the war of ideologies between Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi. The trailer gave a powerful glimpse into the tumultuous times that followed the Partition of India. In the video, Mahatma Gandhi, who has always advocated peace and non-violence, meets an angry and vengeful Godse smiling after being shot by Godse.

Chinmay Mandlekar and Deepak Antani play Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi, respectively, and the resemblance is uncanny. Tanisha is debuting with her father’s comeback film.
